Located in Vancouver, this Manager, Recruitment - Latin America is part of the recruitment team and is directly responsible for recruitment of new students primarily from Latin America and other countries as assigned by the manager.

 

As a key member of the enrolment management team, this position closely works with recruitment department team members, admissions, marketing and other departments of New York Tech Vancouver as needed.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPOSIBILITIES

  • Works as the principal contact person for recruitment of Latin American students for New York Tech-Vancouver’s master degree programs.
  • Assists in recruitment of students from other global markets as needed.
  • Represents New York Tech-Vancouver at overseas and local education and agency fairs.
  • Actively communicates with prospective students and agents and provides accurate and timely information about New York Tech Vancouver’s master degree programs.
  • Responds to all inquiries from prospective students via e-mail, phone or other means and meets with them to provide enrollment counselling.
  • Regularly engages with marketing department to launch advertising and marketing campaigns in specific global markets.
  • Stays updated about the admission status of new applications submitted by prospective students and agents and follows up with them as needed.
  • Converts student inquiries in to actual students to meet annual targets.
  • Emphasizes the quality of students and adheres to admissions requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Conducts other duties as assigned.

AGENCY-REALATED AND ROLES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

Develops and maintains agency relationships primarily with Latin American education consultants (agents) and partners, including:

  •  Recruiting new agency primarily from Latin American countries and other global markets as needed.
  •  Preparing agency contracts for approval
  •  Performing agency reviews and contract renewals
  •  Conducing regular information sessions in agents' offices or virtually
  •  Ensuring timely payment of agency commissions
  •  Continuously training agencies about and updating them about any updates in admissions or degree programs.
  •  Ensuring agencies are not engaged in fraudulent activities and mis-representation of New York Tech Vancouver
  •  

Qualifications

  • Complete fluency in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree, preferably from North America.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in recruitment of international students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven record of being able to work well and tactfully with others; ability to work with all departments, in Vancouver and in New York.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of the education systems of Canada and other countries (preferably Latin America)– ability to evaluate student transcripts from those countries.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary

CAD $70,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

CAD $74,900.00/Yr.
